Campfire Night 2009

Welcome again for those new intake members~

Firstly, we have the first event organised by the current committee members and also all the other March2008 intake's members.

Event Name: Campfire Night

Location: Paradise Hotel Beach

Date: 27th March 2009

Time: 6pm-11.30pm

The organizers were doing the preparation works there since 4pm~~

Marie (left) and Kim Hooi (right) were igniting the fire for BBQ.

Harry (front) was chopping down the dry wood there while the bryan was watching aside. LOLs.

Albert in the red shirt. The guys were helping each other for chopping down the firewoods for the kindling purpose.

Our event's camera-man, Alfa, was snapping the photos around, and let's see the photos taken.

(It's only part of them, I am sorry that I only have these few pics, anyone have the complete set one, may let me know and I will upload it here then)

AnLene & See Ying, the future nurse from KDU Nursing Department who joined us on that day too.

After everything set up well, we all were divided into 4 groups.

This is one of the group, 5 persons in a group, but our leader was missing that time, left us then`

And finally,

the campfire was successfully been ignited by the guys.

the event started with "Intro Yourself" and groups arrangement.

We started our first game which is 2 person needed.

Firstly, the eyes was covered by a piece of eye mask,

then the participants have to spin around the stick prepared there for few rounds

then walked to the other destination point by following the instructions given from the partner.

The mission pass to the partner, the another participants have to crawl over the sandy beach

until reached a destination point, and find out the items hide inside the sand.

It's BBQ time then.

we have the food such as nuggets, fried noodles and bihun, hotdogs, marshmallow, chicken wings, orange juice etc.

After a short while, the next game was started,

which is passing the hula around by NOT using our hands.

Next, it's the maths quiz.

The group which was the first to respond have the chance to answer the questions.

Those losers have to eat the sushi prepared, and the main point is few pieces of the sushi there were with wasabi one.

i have no idea on what Eugene doing there @@

Lastly, the campfire night was ended perfectly with the songs and the guitar performance by Bryan and ya, TK was doing his performance too, singing~~~...

The another event on beach held by KDU Engineering Society. The committee members did the great job of course, thus, the activities were running out succesfully.

Here come up another fun and knowledgeable post!!

If you been to Education Fair 2009 KDU booth most probably 1 of the most eyes catching activity going on there is the robotics that lead by our school program leader and few of our students..

And if you were there , then most probably you see several robots there running around...

and here's a good news to you !! The administrator of this forum will update some interesting robot related stuff to you...what you need is just a computer with some software installation , and you can get the robot move under your control!!

Below is a video from simplysim.net , it's a package you can download from the website that let you have fun on it..of course before that package you need to download some ready use software!! Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio 2008 is the needed software to run it and here is the website :-

A fresh new event from our society, "A Day of Fun At Pantai Kerachut" was officially kicked off in the new year on 17th of January.

Team Building + Breath Taking Scenery + Large Crowd + Healthy Fun Games in Pantai Kerachut!!

Yes is a teambuilding event, instead of doing it in KDU college, our teambuilding was located at Pantai Kerachut..

"This event was also a platform to equip them with interpersonal skills and leadership qualities."

Early in the morning when everyone still deep in sleep, we were on the move!

Hiking is our warm up before we reach Pantai Kerachut!

"If you fainted in the jungle, we wont help out."

Our president informed them with a evil face and this is why they eat before we start the trip.

ARE YOU READY?!

After 2 hours of hiking, our energy was once again charged up when we reach the sandy beach.

We started our first teambuilding game!!

Guess what's it??

How it goes?? How to play?? Video could show you.

The winner for the first round goes to Team 2! Of course they are only first round winner!

Team 1 & Team 3 morale was up that time after the team 2 winning message reach them!

Here start the second game, the Castle Building.

The most important is team work and that's where team building comes into!

Every body in the team contribute what they can!!

Creativity and Teamwork come is a need to build a stronghold.

Hmm...this 1 looked like the "Frozen Throne"..

Awww...

FYI about all events that i begin to post will start from 2009 onward..
but if you are curious about what we did past , i just post those event in a fast speed mode..
and...is without picture..

Year 2008:

Event 1:
In Year 2008, we have numerous of event that is organize by us, of cos the big event include
CSI 2008, oh not crime scene investigation but is circuit search and investigation..
Obviously from the event title implied , main concern goes to circuit..and that's a competition for secondary school student from form 4- 6...

Through organizing such a competition to outsider , what we gain is precious experience from it and also a meal from KDU!! well if you like to eat free meal and hunger for experience , then stay tune to spot the upcoming event for a opportunity..

Event 2:
In order to make our member to strike on the same objective as this society established of cos we have team building...we invited team building expert from marketing department Mr.Andy Tai to helped out..and it's once again another successful activity and enjoyment that we get throughout the activity...

Various games and few hours ...but countless lesson has been taught from Mr.Andy...

Event 3:
Movie Night..A outing that invite most of our student to enjoy a big screen graphic running and also pop-corn and large coke in GSC Gurney Plaza..of cos we invited our lecturer to came along too..and our first outing movie was "Get Smart" a comedy movie that make you laugh like nobody business..

As long as GSC is selling ticket we will have another movie soon enough...
